Located in Vail, Colorado, USA, the Ptarmigan Residence seen from the outside has stone and wood as its main features. There is a nice little brook that runs through the side giving it a natural look and feel.
The multiple levels of the home are reached inside and out with wooden staircases that fit nicely with the environment.
Step inside the home and the wood tones are the most dominant feature. This doesn’t take away from the contemporary look however but actually builds upon it since many homes have wood floors anyway.
